6G-VERSUS is a HE funded research project (HORIZON-JU-SNS-2024-STREAM-D-01-01). The project will explore the frontiers of 6G technology through a series of trials and 6 pilots across Europe, each meticulously designed to address and efficiently assess the pressing challenges of the next-generation sustainable and environmentally conscious vertical industries. 6G-VERSUS will introduce a novel methodology, transforming existing use cases into 6G applications, comprising Vertical App (V-App), Network App (N-App), and AI-assisted App (AI-App). With the support of six 6G platforms spanning across Europe, 6G-VERSUS aims to demonstrate the profound sustainable, economic and societal impact of 6G technology, propelling towards a more sustainable and prosperous society. |

The path towards 6G is beginning now that 5G matured and is being deployed worldwide both publicly and privately. While 5G brought a step up in many fields, such as performance and efficiency, more is always expected in terms of efficiency by the overall community and in terms of performance by industry and technology providers who want to further increase their offerings and products. Continuous demands for higher throughput, lower latency and more energy efficient communications needs to be supported by relevant use cases that can claim and demonstrate the needs for these requests. |

FIDAL will build on the success of 5G-PPP Phase 3 projects, producing a unified experimentation framework with Zero-Touch orchestration, reusable Network Applications, and secure AI as a Service capabilities. In order to validate Evolved 5G technologies in a user environment and maximize downstream take-up and prepare the ground for 6G, the project will deploy 3 testbeds and 3 large-scale test infrastructures in Greece, Norway, and Spain. |
